New Build​

This MAD Studio project is a meticulously crafted riverfront retreat. Architecturally considered from every angle, the two-story residence balances strong geometric lines with tactile natural materials, presenting a striking yet grounded presence on the banks of the Murray River.

A bold, contemporary form is tempered by warm timber cladding, creating a dialogue between structure and landscape. Inside, a restrained, minimalist palette enhances the spatial clarity, while floor-to-ceiling windows draw in sweeping views of the river, blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior space. At the heart of the open-plan living area, a custom-designed timber island bench anchors the kitchen—its sculptural presence both functional and inviting—while carefully selected stone surfaces introduce a natural elegance throughout.

This residence not only responds to its environment but elevates it, offering a sophisticated yet relaxed setting for modern holiday living.
